Document Interactions as a Recipient

Learn what you can do inside a document sent to you through GetAccept, including downloading, printing, chatting, forwarding, calling the sender, commenting, and navigating comment history.

When you open a document in GetAccept, you may have access to several interaction tools depending on the sender’s settings. These tools help you review, respond, collaborate, or take action on the document. This article explains each available interaction.


Download the Document

You can download a PDF copy if the sender has enabled downloading.

How to download:

  1. Click Download.

  2. The file will begin downloading as a PDF.

If you don’t see the download option, ask the sender to enable it.


Print the Document

You can print the document for offline reading or signing (if allowed by the sender).

How to print:

  1. Click Print.

  2. Choose your printer and settings.

  3. Select Print to complete.

If printing is disabled, ask the sender to turn it on.


Chat With the Sender

You can send messages directly to the sender from within the document.

How to chat:

  1. Open the document.

  2. Click the Chat icon (top-right).

  3. Write your message and select Send.

All chat messages appear in the final Signature Certificate after the document is signed.


Forward the Document

You may be able to forward the document to someone else for review or signing.

How to forward:

  1. Open the document.

  2. Click Invite.

  3. Enter the person’s name and contact details.

  4. Choose whether to pass on signing rights.

  5. Select Invite.

If forwarding is not available, the sender has disabled this option.


Comment on the Document

If comments are enabled, you can leave feedback directly on specific text.

How to comment:

  1. Open the document.

  2. Highlight the text you want to comment on.

  3. Select the Comment icon.

  4. Type your comment and send.

To reply, click the highlighted text and respond in the comment thread.


View and Navigate Comment History

You can access all current and resolved comments for context.

How to open comment history:

  1. Click the Comment history icon (top-right).

What you can do:

  • Filter All, Unresolved, or Resolved comments.

  • Sort by latest or oldest.

  • Toggle Hide all comments & mark-ups ON or OFF.

  • With the toggle OFF, hover a comment and select Go to comment to jump to its location.


Resolve a Comment

You may resolve a comment only if you wrote the first message in that thread.

To resolve:

  1. Open the comment thread.

  2. Select the ✔️ Resolve icon.
