How to View a Document Sent to You

Learn how to open and view a document sent to you through GetAccept, whether you receive it via email, hyperlink, thumbnail, or SMS.

Updated this week

When someone shares a document through GetAccept, you can open it directly from your email, a shared link, or an SMS message. This article explains each viewing method and what you can do once the document is open.

View a Document from Email

When a sender shares a document, you'll receive an email that includes a secure link to view it.

To open from email:

  1. Open the email in your inbox.

  2. Click View Document.

  3. The document will open in a new browser tab.

Once opened, you can read, download, print, comment, or sign—depending on what the sender has allowed.

View a Document from a Hyperlink or Thumbnail

Documents may also be shared as direct links or thumbnail previews.

To open from a hyperlink or thumbnail:

  1. Click the hyperlink or the thumbnail image.

  2. The document will open immediately in a browser tab.

This method works the same as opening from email.

View a Document from SMS

If the sender uses SMS delivery, you will receive a text message containing the document link.

To open from SMS:

  1. Open the SMS message.

  2. Tap the link.

  3. The document opens in your mobile browser.

SMS viewing supports the full document experience, including signing if enabled.

What You Can Do After Opening the Document

Depending on the sender’s settings, you may be able to:

  • View all pages

  • Comment or reply to comments

  • Chat with the sender

  • Download or print the document

  • Forward it to someone else

  • Sign the document (if it is signable)

  • Call the sender using click-to-call

If an option isn’t available, the sender may have disabled it for this document.
