Updated yesterday

Overview

The Dropdown element allows users to select one option from a predefined list in the GetAccept Editor. It is used to collect structured input from senders or recipients.

The Dropdown element is available wherever engagement fields are supported in the editor.

What you can do with the Dropdown element

With the Dropdown element, you can:

  • Present a list of predefined options

  • Require users to select one option

  • Assign the field to a sender or recipient

  • Prefill options using merge tags or CRM data

  • Resize and manage dropdown fields within a block

Dropdown options

Dropdown options are defined when editing the field.

Each option represents a selectable value.
Options can include static text or dynamic values using merge tags.

Assigning ownership

Dropdown fields can be assigned to:

  • The sender

  • A specific recipient role

Only the assigned user can select a value.

Required behavior

Dropdown fields are required by default.

You can make a dropdown optional by turning off the required setting.

Using merge tags and CRM data

Merge tags can be used inside dropdown options to pull dynamic data.

This includes standard GetAccept merge tags and custom CRM merge tags from integrations such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

Managing dropdown fields

Dropdown fields can be resized, moved, locked, or deleted as your document evolves.
