Signature element in the Editor

Learn how the Signature element works in the GetAccept Editor to place signatures directly in contract content.

Overview

The Signature element allows you to place signer signatures directly inside the contract content using the GetAccept Editor.

This provides transparency during signing by letting recipients see who has already signed before completing their own signature.

What you can do with the Signature element

With the Signature element, you can:

  • Insert signatures directly into contract content

  • Display signer information next to each signature

  • Control the order in which signatures appear

  • Add multiple signature elements in different sections

  • Hide or show signatures without affecting the signed contract

Signing order

When signature elements are added to a contract:

  • Recipient signatures are displayed first, in the order recipients were added

  • The sender’s signature is always placed last

  • If a custom signing order is configured, that order is respected

Displayed signer information

Each signature placeholder can display additional signer details, such as:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Company information

  • Business registration number

  • Signing date with selectable formatting

These details help provide clarity and context for recipients reviewing the contract.

Using multiple signature elements

You can add signature elements to multiple sections of a contract.

Recipients must sign all assigned elements. After signing once, their signature can be reused across additional elements.
The sender’s signature is automatically applied to all signature elements.

Hiding signatures

Individual signatures can be hidden from the contract content.

Hidden signatures remain included in the final signed contract and the signature certificate.
