Fetching custom merge tags allows you to pull specific data points—like deal amounts, custom product names, or contact details—directly from HubSpot into your GetAccept documents.
Find your HubSpot data tags
You must first identify the specific data keys that HubSpot uses for your custom fields so GetAccept knows exactly what information to grab.
Open any record in HubSpot (like a Deal or Contact) where the GetAccept integration is visible.
Click on the Create in the GetAccept module.
Select Merge tags from the dropdown menu.
A window will open showing all available data fields.
Find the data you need and copy the tag (e.g.,
dealname).
Note: We recommend opening the template fields from a Deal record. This way, you can see and copy tags for all linked objects, like Contacts and Companies, in one place.
Add the custom merge tag to your GetAccept template
Once you have the tag from HubSpot, you need to tell your GetAccept template where that data should appear.
Open your template in GetAccept and click into the Editor block where you want the data to show up.
Click the { } symbol in the formatting bar menu above the editor block.
Click on Create new custom merge tag.
Paste the HubSpot tag you copied earlier into the Merge Tag field.
Enter a Fallback Value to be used if the field in HubSpot happens to be empty (e.g., "Customer").
Click Add.
Pro-tip: You can type {{ anywhere in the editor to quickly open the merge tags dropdown menu without clicking the formatting bar.
Send your document with synced data
After setting up your template, you can use the integration to start a new document flow directly from HubSpot.
Go back to your HubSpot record and start a new GetAccept Deal room or Contract.
Select the Template you just edited with the custom merge tag.
Complete the send-out flow as usual; GetAccept will automatically pull the data from HubSpot to fill in the tags.
Note: If you have used a specific custom merge tag before, you don't need to create it again. You can find it by clicking on Custom merge tag in the { } menu in the Editor.
