Troubleshoot GetAccept and Pipedrive login issues

Fix login and Chrome extension problems when using GetAccept with Pipedrive.

Troubleshoot GetAccept and Pipedrive login issues

If you're having trouble logging in to GetAccept or using the GetAccept Chrome extension with Pipedrive, follow these troubleshooting steps to identify and resolve the issue. Most login problems stem from a few common causes that you can fix quickly.

Common causes of login failures

Login and extension issues with Pipedrive typically happen for one of these reasons:

  • Chrome extension not installed: The GetAccept extension isn't present in your browser.

  • Extension logged out: The extension is installed but you're no longer logged in to GetAccept.

  • Pipedrive session expired: Your Pipedrive login has timed out, so the extension can't access Pipedrive data.

  • Pop-up blocker enabled: Your browser's pop-up blocker is preventing the extension from opening GetAccept windows.

  • Browser cache issues: Outdated cached data is interfering with authentication.

  • Extension out of date: You're running an older version of the extension that has compatibility issues.

Step-by-step troubleshooting

Follow these steps in order. Most issues are resolved by step 2 or 3.

Step 1: Verify the Chrome extension is installed

  1. Open Google Chrome and click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the top-right corner of the browser.

  2. Look for GetAccept in the list of installed extensions.

  3. If you see GetAccept listed, it's installed. Proceed to Step 2.

  4. If GetAccept is not listed, the extension is missing. Download the Chrome Extension and install it.

Step 2: Check if the extension is logged in to GetAccept

  1. In Chrome, click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece).

  2. Click the GetAccept extension icon.

  3. A pop-up window opens. If you see your GetAccept dashboard or a "Create" button, you're logged in. Proceed to Step 3.

  4. If you see a login screen, you're logged out. Enter your GetAccept email and password and click Sign in.

  5. After signing in successfully, return to Pipedrive and try using the extension again.

Pro-tip: The extension uses the same GetAccept account credentials as your web login. If you can't remember your password, use the Forgot your password? link on the GetAccept login screen to reset it.

Step 3: Verify your Pipedrive session is active

  1. Go to app.pipedrive.com in a browser tab.

  2. If you see your Pipedrive dashboard, you're logged in. Your session is active.

  3. If you see a Pipedrive login screen, you've been logged out. Sign in with your Pipedrive email and password.

  4. After logging back in, return to your Pipedrive tab and try using the GetAccept extension again.

GetAccept needs your Pipedrive session to be active to access deal and contact data from your CRM. When your Pipedrive session expires, the extension loses access to that data until you log back in.

Step 4: Disable your pop-up blocker

  1. In Chrome, click the Settings icon (three lines) in the top-right corner.

  2. Go to Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Pop-ups and redirects.

  3. Look for app.pipedrive.com in the "Allow" section. If it's listed, pop-ups are allowed for Pipedrive.

  4. If Pipedrive is NOT in the Allow list, click Add next to the Allow section and type app.pipedrive.com, then click Add site.

  5. Return to Pipedrive and try the extension again.

Some pop-up blockers, including extensions installed separately, can block the GetAccept extension from opening windows. Check both your Chrome settings and any third-party extensions you've installed.

Step 5: Clear your browser cache and test in incognito mode

  1. In Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac) to open the Clear Browsing Data screen.

  2. Set Time range to All time.

  3. Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

  4. Click Clear data.

  5. After clearing cache, go to app.pipedrive.com, log in, and try the GetAccept extension again.

If clearing cache doesn't work, test the extension in Incognito mode. Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac) to open a new incognito window. Go to Pipedrive, log in, and try the extension. Incognito mode uses no cached data, so it's a good isolation test. If the extension works in incognito, a browser extension or cache issue is the problem.

How to reinstall the Chrome extension

If troubleshooting steps 1,5 don't resolve your issue, reinstalling the extension often fixes compatibility problems.

  1. In Chrome, click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) and find GetAccept in your list.

  2. Click the three dots menu next to the GetAccept extension.

  3. Click Remove from Chrome and confirm the removal.

  4. Go to Download the Chrome Extension and follow the installation steps to reinstall.

  5. After installation, log in to the extension with your GetAccept credentials.

  6. Return to Pipedrive and test the extension.

How GetAccept and Pipedrive authentication works

The GetAccept Chrome extension for Pipedrive uses three separate login sessions that must all be active:

  1. GetAccept account login: Your credentials for the GetAccept platform (stored in the extension).

  2. Pipedrive account login: Your Pipedrive CRM login (session in your browser).

  3. Browser authentication: Chrome's ability to open windows and communicate between the extension and Pipedrive (affected by pop-up blockers and cache).

If any one of these three is inactive or blocked, the extension won't work. This is why the troubleshooting steps check each layer separately, you're isolating which piece is causing the problem.

Supported browsers for the Pipedrive Chrome extension

The GetAccept Chrome extension for Pipedrive is supported on:

  • Google Chrome (latest versions)

  • Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based versions 79+)

  • Brave Browser (Chromium-based)

  • Opera Browser (Chromium-based)

If you're using a non-Chromium browser (Firefox, Safari), the extension is not available. You can still create and send documents from GetAccept directly, but you won't have the Pipedrive integration in the extension.

When to contact GetAccept support

If you've completed all troubleshooting steps above and the extension still isn't working, contact GetAccept support with the following information:

  • Your browser name and version (find it in Chrome Settings → About Google Chrome).

  • Whether you're using any browser extensions that block content (ad blockers, privacy extensions).

  • The exact error message or symptom you're seeing (e.g., "Extension won't open," "Login button doesn't respond," "Extension shows blank screen").

  • Whether troubleshooting worked in incognito mode (helps us identify cache vs. extension issues).

  • Your GetAccept account email address.

GetAccept support can help diagnose issues specific to your setup or account. Be as detailed as possible about when the problem started and what changed recently (new browser, new extension, recent update).
