Send Reminders from the Mobile App

Quickly send email, video, or SMS reminders to document recipients directly from your mobile device.

Send Reminders from the Mobile App

GetAccept's mobile app lets you send quick reminders to document recipients directly from your phone or tablet. You can send email, video, or SMS reminders without needing to open the web app , perfect for staying on top of deals while you're out of the office.

Three Types of Reminders

The mobile app supports three reminder types, each serving different follow-up needs:

  • Email Reminder: A message sent via email prompting the recipient to open, review, or sign the document

  • Video Reminder: A personalized video message recorded directly in the app, sent alongside a text notification

  • SMS Reminder: A text message sent to the recipient's phone number directing them back to the document

All reminders are sent immediately when you trigger them , they are not scheduled for later delivery.

When to Send Reminders

Send a reminder when:

  • A recipient has not yet opened the document

  • A recipient opened the document but has not signed

  • You need a quick follow-up without leaving your current task

  • Multiple days have passed with no engagement and you want to re-engage the buyer

Reminders are an effective way to keep deals moving forward, especially when you cannot immediately reach someone by phone or email.

Send an Email Reminder from the Mobile App

Email reminders are the most common reminder type and work for all recipients with an email address on file.

  1. Open the GetAccept mobile app and navigate to the Documents tab

  2. Find and tap the document you want to send a reminder for

  3. Scroll down to view the recipient list

  4. Tap the three dots (more menu) next to the recipient's name

  5. Select Send email reminder

  6. Review the default reminder message (optional: you can edit the text before sending)

  7. Tap Send to deliver the reminder immediately

The recipient receives an email with your message and a link back to the document. The email comes from your GetAccept account and includes your name and contact info as configured in your profile.

Send a Video Reminder from the Mobile App

Video reminders add a personal touch and can significantly increase engagement. You record a short video message directly in the app, which the recipient receives as a notification.

  1. Open the GetAccept mobile app and go to the Documents tab

  2. Select the document you want to remind the recipient about

  3. Tap the three dots next to the recipient's name

  4. Select Send video reminder

  5. Allow the app to access your camera and microphone when prompted

  6. Record your message (speak naturally; you can re-record if needed)

  7. Review your recording and tap Send

The recipient receives a notification with your video message and a direct link to the document. Video reminders are especially effective for high-value deals or when you want to re-establish personal connection mid-sales cycle.

Send an SMS Reminder from the Mobile App

SMS reminders reach recipients via text message , a direct, immediate channel that often gets faster responses than email.

  1. Open the GetAccept mobile app and navigate to the Documents tab

  2. Find the document and tap it to open

  3. Scroll to the recipient list and tap the three dots next to the recipient's name

  4. Select Send SMS reminder

  5. Confirm the recipient's phone number is correct (phone number must be on file)

  6. Review the text message preview

  7. Tap Send to deliver the SMS immediately

The recipient receives a text message with a direct link to your document. SMS reminders have high open rates because they appear as standard text messages on the recipient's phone.

SMS Recipient Requirements and Supported Countries

To send an SMS reminder, the recipient must have a valid phone number stored in your GetAccept system. The phone number is typically added when you create the document or added to a contact record.

SMS delivery is available in most countries worldwide, but some regions have restrictions. For a complete list of supported SMS countries and territories, refer to SMS Countries.

If a recipient's country is not supported, you'll see a notification when attempting to send an SMS reminder, and you can fall back to email or video reminders instead.

What Recipients Receive

Email Reminder: Recipients see a professional email from you with your message and a button linking back to the document. The email appears in their inbox like a standard email notification.

Video Reminder: Recipients receive a notification with your video message embedded. They can play the video directly and then follow the link to access the document.

SMS Reminder: Recipients get a text message with your message and a clickable link to the document. The SMS appears like a standard text message on their phone.

In all cases, recipients do not need to log in or authenticate , they access the document directly via the link in the reminder.

Reminders Are Sent Immediately

All reminders sent from the mobile app are delivered right away. There is no scheduling or delay , when you tap Send, the reminder goes out immediately to the recipient.

If you need to set up reminders that send automatically on a schedule (for example, a reminder 3 days after sending if the document remains unopened), those are configured through Communication Templates in the web app, not through the mobile app.

Sending Reminders from Different Views

You can send reminders in two ways on the mobile app:

  • From the Documents tab: Tap into any sent document to see the full recipient list, then select a recipient and choose your reminder type

  • From a specific document: Open a document you've already sent, and the recipient list appears with quick-access reminder options

Both paths lead to the same reminder flow , choose whichever is faster for your workflow.
