Overview

The Text element is used to add and format written content in the GetAccept Editor. It is available anywhere the Editor is used, including Contracts, Deal Rooms, and templates.

The Text element supports structured content, basic styling, dynamic data through merge tags, and brand-aligned fonts.

What you can do with the Text element

With the Text element, you can:

  • Write and edit text directly in the editor

  • Structure content using headings and paragraphs

  • Apply basic text styling and alignment

  • Add links and lists

  • Insert merge tags for dynamic content

  • Lock text to prevent accidental changes

Formatting text

When you click inside a text element, a formatting bar appears. From there, you can:

  • Choose text styles such as headings, subheadings, or normal text

  • Apply bold, italic, or underline

  • Create bullet points or numbered lists

  • Align text left, center, right, or justified

  • Add hyperlinks

  • Undo or redo changes

Formatting updates are applied instantly.

Using merge tags in text

Merge tags allow you to insert dynamic information directly into your text.

Available merge tag categories include:

  • Document details

  • Sender information

  • Company information

  • Recipient information

  • Custom merge tags from CRM or integrations

Merge tags automatically update based on the document and recipient data.

You can also convert formatted rich text from your CRM into a merge tag to include dynamic content such as client details or project information.

Fonts and branding

The Text element supports multiple font options to help align documents with your branding.

Available fonts depend on your entity’s font settings.

Locking text elements

You can lock a text element to prevent it from being edited or moved. This is useful for protecting finalized content or required text sections.

Locked elements can be unlocked at any time if changes are needed.
