Feature Groups Explained

Understand what each Settings group controls in your Deal Room.

The Settings panel is divided into five feature groups. Each group manages a specific part of your Deal Room—what buyers see, how collaborators work, and how secure and customizable the space is. This guide explains what each group does and when to use it.


1. Tabs

Controls the major sections available inside the Deal Room.

Tabs represent the top-level navigation items shown to participants. You can enable or disable entire sections to match your selling flow.

What you can toggle

  • Action plan — shows the Mutual Action Plan

  • Files — shows shared documents

  • Meetings — shows scheduled and past meetings

Why use it

  • Simplify the room for buyers

  • Remove unused modules

  • Keep the buying experience focused on what matters


2. Features

Enables or disables specific engagement tools inside the room.

These are smaller components that enhance communication and structure inside the Deal Room.

What you can toggle

  • Chat — real-time messaging

  • Comments — page-level comments

  • Introduction section — the welcome landing content

Why use it

  • Create a quieter, simpler room by removing unused interactions

  • Enable collaboration tools when engagement is high

  • Control what experience participants have inside the room


3. Company

Manages the buyer’s branding inside the Deal Room.

You can personalize the room with the buyer’s logo and company details.

What you can edit

  • Search for buyer company logo

  • Upload a custom buyer logotype

  • Update company name

  • Update company URL

Why use it

  • Make the room feel fully tailored to the buyer

  • Strengthen professionalism and trust

  • Ensure correct branding across shared content


4. Collaboration

Controls internal access and ownership of the Deal Room.

Used to assign who manages and supports the room from your side.

What you can modify

  • Room owner — primary responsible user

  • Collaborators — internal team members who can edit the room

Why use it

  • Add SMEs, sales engineers, or account team members

  • Reassign rooms when reps change

  • Enable joint selling with a shared workspace


5. Availability

Defines how buyers access the Deal Room and its security level.

Important for controlling permissions and external security.

What you can configure

  • Room access

    • Allow universal link access

    • Restrict to invited participants only

  • Password protection for external visitors

  • Unpublish room

  • Delete room

Why use it

  • Control who can enter the room

  • Add an extra security layer

  • Temporarily pause access

  • Permanently remove unused rooms


When to Use Feature Groups

Use the feature groups whenever you want to:

  • Customize the buyer experience

  • Simplify the Deal Room layout

  • Add or remove collaboration options

  • Adjust access levels and security

  • Personalize the Deal Room with the buyer’s branding
