Tax Breakdown and Summarized Product Properties

Updated this week

These features make your pricing tables more transparent and professional — especially when quoting multiple tax rates or showing the total value of included services.

Tax Breakdown by Percentage

You can display a detailed tax breakdown by percentage rates directly in the pricing summary.

What this means

If your pricing includes multiple products with different tax rates — for example:

  • Product A: 25%

  • Product B: 12%

  • Product C: 6%

You can now show exactly how much of the total tax comes from each rate.
This makes it easier for your customer to see how the total price is calculated.

How to enable tax breakdown

  1. Click inside your Pricing Table.

  2. Select the settings icon in the formatting bar.

  3. Choose Show/hide pricing summary items.

  4. Toggle on the Tax and Subtotal before tax options.

Your pricing summary will now show a detailed view:

  • Base subtotal (price before tax)

  • Individual tax amount per percentage rate

  • Total tax amount

  • Combined subtotal (subtotal + tax)

Example:

Summarize Numeric Product Properties

If your products include numeric product properties — such as hours, weight, seats, or included units — you can now automatically summarize these values in your pricing table.

Example

If you include onboarding hours in your plans:

  • Product A: 5 onboarding hours

  • Product B: 3 onboarding hours

Your pricing summary can automatically show:
Total onboarding hours: 8

This clearly communicates total value across multiple products or packages.

How to set this up

  1. Make sure your product includes a number-type product property.

  2. In the Editor, go to your pricing table.

  3. Locate the property column under your pricing group.

  4. Click the column name and select Add to summary.

That’s it! The value will appear in the group summary or pricing table summary, depending on where you added it.

Why this matters

These enhancements help you:
Deliver clearer, transparent pricing to your buyers
Highlight added value (like hours or included services)
Save time by automating totals and tax calculations
Build more professional, branded quotes with less manual setup

You can use both the Tax Breakdown and Summarized Properties together to create a complete financial overview in your proposals.

Best practice

  • Use numeric summaries for included service hours, user seats, or credits.

  • Keep tax rates consistent in your Product Library for accurate totals.

  • Always preview your pricing table to ensure values align across groups.
