Learn how to connect Upsales Product Line Items to GetAccept pricing tables and groups.

Updated over 6 months ago

Introduction

The pricing table is an element that you can insert into your template editor. Combined with our Upsales integration, it is now possible to automatically populate Upsales product line item data into multiple pricing tables and pricing groups within a table in exactly the manner you want. This allows you to present your pricing in a clear and readable way to your buyers. An example would be having recurring revenue products in one table and one-time cost products in a second table.

To do this you need to configure a pricing table profile as shown in the steps below.

Note: For our default use of pricing tables and Upsales product line items, you can view this article.

Setup

(Pre-requisites: Ensure that you have our GetAccept Digital Sales Rooms and Electronic Signatures for Upsales Chrome extension Version 1.10 or higher, that the integration has been connected from GetAccept by an admin, and that you have the pricing table feature enabled on your entity)

This setup will guide you through how to configure a pricing table profile so that your Upsales product line items display in the pricing table or group you want in your GetAccept template.

Specify which Upsales product line items will go into the GetAccept Pricing Table

  1. Create a new pricing table profile in the GetAccept Upsales Integration

    1. Log in to the GetAccept Upsales integration.

    2. Select the drop down menu in the top right of the integration.

    3. Select "Advanced Settings". Note this is only available to GetAccept Admin users.

    4. A new tab with our pricing table profiles will be opened.

    5. Click "Add new pricing table profile".

  2. Configure pricing table profile

    1. Add profile name

    2. Select "Use on template ids", and select specific templates as required. This is helpful if you want to test before applying changes to all of your templates.

    3. We recommend setting "select tables by" and "select pricing groups by" to name.

      1. You may set it to number which will map the products based on the order of the pricing tables and groups in a template.

    4. Enter the pricing table name as found in your GetAccept template in the "Apply to pricing table" field.

    5. Enter the pricing group name as found in your GetAccept template in the "Apply to pricing group" field.

    6. Review "Define your data mappings". This shows the default Upsales product line item fields that will be used for the GetAccept pricing table rows.

      1. Select different fields if required.

      2. Note: Pricing table structure can be updated in the GetAccept template.

    7. Review "Define your group summarydata mappings". This shows the default Upsales product line item fields that will be used for the GetAccept pricing table summaries.

      1. Select different fields if required.

      2. Note: Pricing table structure can be updated in the GetAccept template.

    8. Enable "Use custom rule".

    9. Select the Upsales field that will filter the correct products in the "Name" field. E.g. "hs_product_type".

      1. Select the "Select filter operator". E.g. "equals".

      2. Select the "value". E.g. "Inventory"

      3. All Upsales product line items that have their product type equal to Inventory will be pushed into the pricing table and group specified above. If no products with this condition exist, GetAccept will hide the table and group when the contract is sent.

    10. Click "Save all changes".

  3. Test pricing table profiles.

    1. Create a contract from the GetAccept Upsales integration that uses the correct template.

      1. Ensure that the correct Upsales product line items are in use from the Upsales deal that is being used to test.

To support multiple pricing groups and/or multiple pricing tables

Select "Add new pricing group" and/or "Add new pricing table". Follow the same steps as above and ensure that the names or order used match what is in your GetAccept template.

Make sure to create custom rules for each new pricing group to ensure that the correct products will appear.

Limitations and Assumptions

  • GetAccept pricing tables currently only work with Upsales Opportunities with linked Product Line Items

  • Currency is based on deal currency if multi-currency Upsales account, otherwise it’s based on account currency

  • A preview of the pricing table is visible by previewing the document on the last step of the send-out

  • Users can select if the pricing table should be populated by Upsales line items or not from within the integration
