Placeholders - Work even more efficiently with your Deal Room content

The tradeoff between personalized content for each sales process and sales rep efficiency is a constant battle in a digital sales process. In the Deal Room we’ve been able to offer a set of capabilities that greatly helps strike a balance, with standardized templates using toggleable sections and pages.

However, we’ve felt that this could be greatly improved to allow for even more flexibility and efficiency for the sales rep, while the Enablement Manager still has total control over the sales content and process.

How, you might ask? Let us introduce you to Resource Placeholders!

How to add a resource placeholder

Resource placeholders are a great way to simplify room creation for your sales reps, based on the buyer's needs or requests. Here you can easily present a set of resources in a template to choose from when setting up a room.

This can be used to make your content more dynamic and easy to use when setting a room up for publishing. The resources you add here are also linked to the resource, meaning that any update you make to a resource will be applied the next time a template is used.

  1. To add a resource placeholder you need to create a new section.

  2. Scroll down in the list, or search for the Resource placeholder

  3. Click to add it, and the placeholder will be added

  4. Next, click to add content resources

  5. Select the resources you want the owner of the room to choose from

  6. Select Add Content resources

  7. Add a help text to guide the owner of the room to select the right material

Tip: Due to the versatility of the content resource, you can create placeholder setups for entire pages' worth of content, groups of sections, or individual sections on a page.

Good to know: It is possible to preview resources before selecting them, both in setup and usage.
