How to use the new files feature in your Deal room

Introducing a new feature in our deal room: Files

Streamline your process with one centralized location for all essential files. Effortlessly upload files, list, and analyze documents with detailed per-file analytics. Stay in control by tracking who has downloaded each file, and prioritize key documents by pinning them for easy access.

How files in the deal room work

How to enable files

  1. Click on the setting symbol in the upper right corner

  2. Select the tab called Functionality

  3. Then toggle on Files

  4. Once you toggle it ON you will notice in the menu in the deal room you have a button called Files

Please note!

You have to manually toggle this feature ON yourself. It will not be enabled per default upon creating a room unless you toggle it ON directly on your template room settings.

How to upload a file

  1. When it is the first time uploading a file you can find the upload button in the middle of the page

  2. Drag and drop a file from your computer or click on the link to browse to choose a file.

  3. Once a file has been added you can add more content or proceed with uploading the file.

  4. You also have the option to rename the file. Once done, select Upload

  5. If successfully uploaded you will see a green popup message stating that your file has been uploaded.

  6. If you want to have more files once you have files that have been uploaded, the Upload file button will be placed to the right, above the files.

File upload limitations

There are some restrictions on files (such as; File size Limit, Room Storage Limit, and File lifetime) uploaded to GetAccept that apply according to our terms and conditions. Read more about them here under paragraph 5.4.

How to download a file

  1. There are two ways to download an uploaded file, one being to simply click on the download button:

  2. The other way is to click on the three dots next to the file, and in the pop up menu select Download file.

How to pin a file

Sometimes you have files that needs to be shown first, that might be key files such as a decided schedule or a booking confirmation for example. You can then select to pin these files, so that they are displayed first in the list and with a pin symbol next to it.

Please note! Only the owner of the room can pin a file.

  1. To pin a file, click on the three dots next to the file and select Pin file

  2. The file will be shown at the top of the list with a pin symbol:

  3. You can also unpin it if you want to, simply click on the three dots and then select Unpin file from the list.

File analytics

You cannot click and view the file directly in your browser so to view a file you have to download it. If you want to see the interaction your participant has with the uploaded files you can see who has downloaded a file and how many times a file has been downloaded.

Please note! Only the owner of the room can access File analytics!

  1. Click on the three dots next to the file you want to see who has downloaded and select File analytics.

  2. A new window will appear stating how many times it has been downloaded and by whom.

Delete file

Sometimes a file that has been uploaded is not the right one, or it is no longer of use. Then you as the owner of the room can select to delete the file.

Please note! Only the owner of the room can delete a file!

  1. To delete a file, click on the three dots next to the file you wish to delete and select Delete file from the list.

  2. A window will appear where you have to confirm you want to delete the file, if yes, simply proceed and select Delete
