Configure AI-native Deal Room template settings

Configure the General, Availability, Functionality, and Advanced settings on a Deal Room template in the AI-native experience.

The Settings panel on a Deal Room template in the AI-native experience lets you control how every room created from that template behaves. From one panel you can set the internal name, the participant-facing room name with dynamic variables, the language used for AI generation and emails, who has access, which tabs and features are available, and which room type the template maps to.

Note: This Settings panel is part of the AI-native Deal Room experience. If your entity has not opted in to the upgraded experience, the template settings look different. See AI-native Deal Rooms for an overview of what changes when you opt in.

Open template settings

Open the template in the editor. From the template editor, open the Settings panel from the template controls in the side navigation. The Settings panel is organized into four tabs along the top:

  • General

  • Availability

  • Functionality

  • Advanced

General

The General tab covers the basic identity and default behavior of the template.

Room template name

The internal name for the template. This name is used inside GetAccept (for example in the template library and template lists) and is not shown to participants.

Room name

The name participants see when they open a room created from this template. Use the {} variable picker next to the field to insert dynamic values such as the customer company name, so each new room is automatically named with the relevant context.

Template owner

The user who owns the template. The current owner is displayed above the dropdown. To transfer ownership, select a different user from the Resource owner dropdown.

Room language

The language used for AI content generation and email sendouts on rooms created from this template. Room language can be set at the entity, template, and room levels. The template-level setting acts as the default for any room created from the template and can be overridden at the room level.

Content access rights

Controls who has access to the template content. Set this to Public to make it broadly available, or choose a more restricted option as needed for your team.

Reminders for inactive participants

When enabled, GetAccept will remind participants who have been invited to a room created from this template but have not yet visited it.

Availability

The Availability tab controls who can open rooms created from this template, and lets you delete the template entirely.

Room access

Choose one of two access modes:

  • Allow anyone to access with a universal link. Anyone with the link can open the room.

  • Restrict to only invited participants. Only participants who have been explicitly invited to the room can open it.

Delete template

Deleting the template is permanent. After deletion, the template cannot be retrieved.

Functionality

The Functionality tab lets you enable or disable individual tabs and in-room features for any room created from this template.

Note: When you disable a feature, it is hidden, not deleted. The feature is invisible to you and to participants while disabled, and you can re-enable it at any time.

Tabs

Toggle which of the following tabs appear inside the room:

  • Action plan

  • Files

  • Meetings

  • Contracts

Features

Toggle which in-room features are available:

  • Chat

  • Comments

  • Introduction section

Advanced

The Advanced tab maps the template to your room types and stages, which drive workflows and reporting.

Room type

Select the room type that rooms created from this template will default to (for example, New business). For more on how room types and stages work and how to set them up at the entity level, see the Set up workflows with room types and stages article.
