Adding Discounts and Taxes

Apply discounts and tax at either the product, group, or total level for flexible pricing control.

Updated this week

In the Pricing Table, you can add discounts to individual rows or entire pricing groups, and manage taxes in the summary settings.
These options let you display transparent pricing and automate your calculations.

Step 1: Add a discount to a product row

You can add a discount directly to a product within a Pricing Table.

  1. Hover over the Amount column in the product row.

  2. Click Add discount.

  3. Enter the value as either:

    • A percentage (e.g., “10%”), or

    • A fixed amount (e.g., “100 EUR”).

The discount is automatically applied and reflected in the Total amount and Pricing summary.

Use this when you want to discount a single product or service line.

Step 2: Add a discount to a Pricing Group

To apply a discount to all products in a group (e.g., “Add-ons” or “Services”):

  1. Click the group name (such as One-time or Subscription).

  2. In the Formatting bar, click the gear icon.

  3. Under Show/hide pricing group items, toggle Discount on.

  4. A discount field will appear in the group’s Total amount section.

  5. Enter your discount as a percentage or fixed value.

This discount will apply to every product in that group and update totals automatically.

Step 3: Configure taxes in the Pricing Summary

Taxes are managed through the Pricing Summary settings at the bottom of your table.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the table.

  2. Click the gear icon in the Formatting bar above the summary section.

  3. In the Show/hide pricing summary items menu, toggle on:

    • Tax — enables tax input for the total.

    • Subtotal before tax — shows subtotals before tax is added.

    • Total tax for pricing groups — displays the combined tax from each group.

  4. Click Add tax in the summary and enter the tax percentage or amount.

The table automatically recalculates totals based on your settings.

Step 4: Combine discounts and taxes

You can use both discounts and taxes in the same table.
The calculation order follows this logic:

  1. Product and group discounts are applied first.

  2. Taxes are then calculated based on the adjusted subtotal.

This ensures accurate totals and transparent display for your recipients.

Step 5: Preview and finalize

Before sending, click Preview to confirm your setup:

  • Product or group discounts display inline.

  • Taxes appear in the Pricing summary at the bottom.

You can hide discounts or taxes for recipients if you prefer a cleaner layout.
Go to Pricing Table Settings to control these visibility options.

Best practice

  • Use product-level discounts for custom offers.

  • Use group-level discounts for packaged deals or bundles.

  • Manage tax visibility carefully to ensure clarity for your customers.
