Content library overview for the E-sign plan

Updated this week

Getting Started

At the top of the Content Library, you will see folders represented with icons and their name.

To interact and navigate your folder hierarchy, click on it to go into it and find the contents within.

Below you will see your template in your main view

How to create content for your library

  1. Click on Create Content

  2. Choose what content you want to create

You can choose between

  • Template

  • Editor

  • Folder

How to create a folder

To create new folders click on the 'Create content' button in the top right corner.

By default, we will display all resources on the Content Library landing page sorted by Updated date with the latest edited resources first.

You can use a number of controls to quickly find a specific resource, namely:

  • Filtering the view on what type of resource - All / Templates / Editors / Videos / Content links

  • Sorting the view on - Latest used / Name / Created (timestamp) / Updated (timestamp)

How to edit and delete a folder

Editing and deleting a folder object is accessible via the options menu

  • Click on the three dots next to the template folder name

Multi-select templates

If you need to move or delete several templates/resources at the same time, simply click on the three dots menu and click on 'Select'.

You will then be able to mark which templates/resources you want to move or delete, and then simply select what action you want to do. If you want to move your templates, you can choose which folder you want your templates to be located in and save them.

Resources & the document data model

A resource is defined as a reusable piece of content that can be associated with one or multiple template objects and have user permissions attached to it.

By default each user can read & edit resources, he/she has created and admins can read & write to all resources attached to an entity unless entity settings have been set to prevent that.

Difference between Block and Resources

When using the GetAccept native document editor you will create Blocks of content when creating them as part of a new document. This 'on the fly' creation of content makes them into Blocks of content that are not re-usable by default and this is an important distinction.

Resources on the other hand must be created from within the Content Library view where they will be explicitly saved as a resource and made re-usable. To do this you need to use the 'Create content' menu in the Content Library.

The benefits of working with Resources

Resources are reusable and can be updated or deleted in a single location and changes cascade into potentially several different template objects.

A typical use case for resources would be standard elements of a document such as personal bio's, customer cases, company information or videos, or boilerplate information that is part of many different templates.

Editing or deleting a Resource

While editing or deleting a resource GetAccept will check if a resource is part of templates and inform you about this so you can make a choice if you want to proceed with the action or not.

In these cases, the proceeding will update or delete the resource in all instances where it is used going forward in time. Already sent documents will not be affected.

Finding Resources when building a new document

When using the new document builder you will have an entry point to add new content blocks for each type - templates/editor/video/link.

To add an Editor resource for instance you can click on Editor->Editor library to access these:
