Connecting GetAccept to Slack

Connect GetAccept to Slack to get real-time buyer updates from your Deal Rooms and contracts, and ask Slackbot about your deals.

GetAccept enhances your Slack workflow by streaming real-time buyer insights and activity updates directly into your channels. Whether it’s an important Contract or a Digital Sales Room, you’ll never miss a thing when a buyer engages.

Key Capabilities

  • Real-Time Events: Get instant notifications in Slack for buyer activities, so your team can react while the buyer is engaged. You choose which types of update reach each channel, so the important ones don’t get lost.

  • Seamless Collaboration: Link specific Deal Rooms and contracts to dedicated Slack channels for internal alignment or external collaboration with your champions.

  • Deal Insights On-Demand: View critical deal data without leaving Slack. Track your progress on Mutual Action Plans and see which participants are active.

  • Ask Slackbot: ask about your deals in plain language and take action, like updating a Mutual Action Plan or adding a participant, without leaving Slack

Important: This integration must be set up by someone who holds Admin permissions for both Slack and the GetAccept entity.

To get started, you will need to authorize the connection via your GetAccept settings under Integrations.

How to Add GetAccept to Slack

Once you've connected GetAccept to Slack in the above steps, users need to add the GetAccept app to their slack workspace.

  1. In Slack, go to Apps and right click.

  2. Click Manage.

  3. Select Browse Apps.

  4. Find GetAccept and click.

  5. Add the app and place it where you want in your Slack workspace.

  6. From the app you can view all your Deal Rooms and contracts and link them to Slack channels. If you are an admin, you can also set default channels and choose which notifications are posted. See the next section.

Choose which notifications reach Slack

When a Deal Room is linked to a Slack channel, every type of update is posted by default. On an active deal that adds up quickly. Notification settings let you keep each channel focused on the updates that matter to the people in it.

Set the default for your workspace

Admins set a default that applies to every linked channel in your Slack workspace.

  1. In Slack, open the GetAccept app and go to the Home tab.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Optional: under Default Deal Room notification channel and Default contract notification channel, select where events go when no specific channel is linked.

  4. Under Notify linked channels about, select the updates you want posted:

    • Conversations

    • Comments

    • Signing & deal outcome

    • Buyer engagement

    • Buyer-completed tasks, milestones & action plans

  5. Under Message text, select Show message content if you want the content of messages shown in Slack.

  6. Under Linked contracts, select Linked contracts to post activity from contracts linked to the Deal Room in the same channel.

  7. Click Save.

Change the settings for one channel

A linked channel follows the workspace default until it has its own settings. To change what a single channel receives:

  1. Open the linked channel in Slack.

  2. Find the GetAccept message confirming the Deal Room is linked to the channel.

  3. Click Notification settings.

  4. Select the updates you want in this channel and save.

Tip: If a channel is shared with people outside your deal team, such as consultants or partners, you can limit it to Signing & deal outcome so they only see the big moments.

Use GetAccept with Slackbot

Head to Slackbot -> Manage apps and toggle on GetAccept MCP. You'll be prompted to confirm your connection and which entity you're connecting to. This allows you to interact with GetAccept data in Slackbot using natural language.

Start by asking about your deals:

  • “Which of my Deal Rooms have had buyer activity this week?”

  • “Who has viewed the proposal we sent to NestBuy?”

  • “Summarize last week’s meetings”

Then get it taking action:

  • “Mark the security review task as complete in the Acme deal room”

  • “Add jane@acme.com to the Acme deal room”

  • “Send a reminder to anyone who hasn’t signed the NestBuy contract”

And combine it with the rest of Slack:

  • “Create a canvas with my active Deal Rooms as a table”: share a clear view of your pipeline with your team in seconds

Want to know the latest capabilities? Just ask Slackbot:

“What can you do with GetAccept MCP?”

Slackbot only sees what the user can see in GetAccept. We recommend reviewing content in GetAccept before asking Slackbot to publish a room or invite anyone.
