Content Resources Overview

Learn what Content Resources are, how to create and use them, and how they support scalable, consistent content across Deal Room templates and rooms.

Updated this week

Content Resources are reusable content blocks stored in the Content Library and used to scale consistent messaging across Deal Rooms and templates. They allow organizations to maintain centrally managed content while enabling tailored buyer experiences in live rooms.

What Content Resources Are

A Content Resource is a self-contained content block such as a section, slide deck, text module, or multimedia asset. Resources can represent:

  • Standardized product messaging

  • Industry-specific stories

  • Pricing summaries

  • Onboarding instructions

  • Value frameworks or ROI narratives

  • Saved pages or sections from high-performing Deal Rooms

Resources act as modular building blocks that can be inserted into templates and Deal Rooms to ensure consistent structure and messaging.

When to Use Content Resources

Content Resources are designed for content that needs to be:

  • Reused frequently

  • Maintained centrally

  • Updated without modifying every template manually

  • Selected by sales reps based on deal type, region, or persona

They support scalable content operations where content must stay accurate across teams and templates.

How Content Resources Fit Into Template Architecture

Content Resources complement templates by providing a flexible middle layer between:

Default template content
Always present and consistent across all deals.

Variable content
Content chosen or replaced depending on deal segment (industry, product line, region).

Custom content
Content created specifically for one buyer or opportunity.

Resources allow templates to stay lightweight while remaining adaptable.

Behavior of Content Resources

  • Updated resources remain accurate anywhere they are used.

  • Public resources can be referenced across the workspace; private resources remain local.

  • Resources do not automatically sync when inserted unless added as a Linked Resource.

  • They allow authors to maintain content without modifying each template.

Best Practices

  • Keep resources atomic and focused on one purpose.

  • Use naming conventions that reflect use case and audience.

  • Maintain a library of variable content (industry, region, product) to support personalization.

  • Avoid embedding prospect-specific content inside resources.

  • Periodically review and govern the resource library for accuracy and relevance.
