Previously, it was possible to toggle on an "Introduction section" in your room settings. We now recommend using the "Hero element" instead for a better experience for both customers and sellers.
The Hero element is now the way to welcome buyers to your Deal Room. It covers everything the Introduction section did, and adds:
More layouts and design options
The flexibility to use it on any page
Tracking in content analytics, just like every other element
What this means for your rooms and templates
Existing Deal Rooms: Rooms that already include an Introduction section aren't affected. They'll keep working exactly as they do today.
Existing templates: Templates that use the Introduction section keep it until you switch it off, and rooms created from them will continue to include it.
New templates and new rooms created from scratch: The Introduction section is no longer available. Use the Hero element instead.
AI-generated content: When AI creates an introduction page, it now uses the Hero element.
We strongly recommend updating your templates and Deal Rooms to use the new hero element instead of the introduction section as soon as possible.
Why we made the change
The Introduction section was a fixed component that always sat at the top of a room. The Hero element works like any other element in the editor, which gives you more freedom:

Switch your templates to the Hero element
We recommend updating your templates, so every new room starts with the Hero element.
Open the template and go to Settings → Functionality.
Toggle off Introduction section.
Add a Hero element to the top of your first page.
