Introduction
The Google Slides element lets you embed a Google Slides presentation directly into your Deal Rooms. This feature is ideal for maintaining up-to-date slides from your Google Drive without duplicating content. It’s particularly useful for content that needs to stay current across all templates, resources, drafts, or published rooms.
Benefits:
Automatically reflects updates made in Google Slides across all rooms.
Reduces the need to maintain multiple versions of a deck.
Important Considerations
Automatic and Retroactive Updates
Updates apply instantly across all rooms and templates, including those already shared with clients. This can be problematic if the updated Google Slide contains new information that you no longer want to display in historic rooms.
Always double-check content to ensure it’s suitable for any room, including previously published versions, as updates will reflect everywhere the slide is embedded.
Dependency on Google Drive
Deleting the Google Slide in Drive will break the link in all Deal Rooms where it’s embedded. To prevent broken content, maintain a strong internal routine and awareness of which Google Slides are linked in Deal Rooms.
Make sure team members understand which slides are being used in Deal Rooms to avoid accidental deletions.
Limitations in Analytics
Embedded Google Slides are external content; thus, GetAccept cannot track participant engagement on individual slides, such as which slides were viewed or for how long.
If tracking participant interactions with slides is important, consider using the Slideshow element instead, as it provides granular analytics on participant activity within GetAccept.
Mobile Viewing Limitations
Embedded content is not ideal for mobile viewing. The content may appear very small, with limited zooming capabilities.
For a mobile-friendly experience, use the Slideshow element or recreate the content with GetAccept’s text and image elements to ensure optimal readability and responsiveness.
