Lock elements, sections and blocks in GetAccept

This functionality is particularly beneficial for sales leaders and admin users, ensuring that vital information remains consistent and accurate throughout the sales process. In this article, we'll guide you through locking and unlocking elements, sections, and blocks, highlighting the benefits and best practices for using this feature effectively.

What you can lock

In a Deal Room, content is organized into sections, and each section contains elements. In a Contract, content is organized into blocks. You can lock at either level:

  • A single element (for example, one pricing table or text block)

  • A whole section in a Deal Room, or a block in a Contract, which locks everything inside it at once

How to enable and disable Lock

Locking elements

Locking an element prevents accidental edits, ensuring that crucial content remains unchanged. This is essential for maintaining consistency in key areas of a document, such as important information.

How to lock an element

When adding an element, you'll see an icon that resembles a key lock. Click this icon to lock the specific element, securing it for future send-outs. To unlock, click the same key lock icon again.

Only admin users have the permission to unlock locked elements. This ensures that sales leaders can secure specific content, preventing unauthorized changes and ensuring that the correct information remains intact.

Locking a section or block

You can also lock/unlock a whole section in a Deal Room, or a block in a Contract. This locks every element inside at once.

How to lock an element

Hover over the whole section (in a Deal Room) or block (in a Contract) and click on the "More options" icon (•••) in the top right corner of the section or block, then click "Lock section" or "Lock block." This locks every element inside it in a single step, so you don't have to lock each one individually.

To unlock a section or block click on the key lock icon that appears next to the "More options" (•••) button, or click the "More options" icon (•••) in the top right corner of the section or block, then click "Unlock section" or "Unlock block."

Only admin users have the permission to unlock locked sections and blocks. This ensures that sales leaders can secure specific content, preventing unauthorized changes and ensuring that the correct information remains intact.
