How to Use the Date Input Element

How to add the date input element to ensure the correct date is added.

The Date Input element allows you to easily add date fields in your document, using a calendar view to ensure accuracy and eliminate manual entry errors.


How to Add the Date Input Element

  1. Open the Editor Block where you want to place the date.

  2. Click on the blue [+] symbol.

  3. Scroll down and select Date Input from the list of engagement elements.


Managing the Date Input Field

  1. Add a Label – After adding the Date Input field, click above the field to add a short, descriptive label, like "Start Date."

  2. Select a Date – Click within the field to open the calendar and pick the date. For example, select March 4, 2024 for a start date.

  3. Optional Help Text – You can add help text below the field, like "Contract start date," to clarify the purpose.


Assigning the Field to the Sender or Recipient

  1. Click on the Date Input field to open the formatting bar.

  2. Connect Field (Person Icon) – Choose whether the field should be connected to the Sender or Recipient, defining who should enter the date.


Marking the Field as Required

  1. Required Toggle – Click the toggle next to the connect field icon to mark the field as required.

    • Default: ON (required).

    • Optional: Toggle OFF if you want to make the date input optional.
